Selection Policies

The Club envisages that that junior players will progress through the Under 13 and Under 15 age levels as relatively stable squads (numbers permitting).

At Under 17 level the teams will be chosen taking into account that players at this age level are beginning to develop specialist skills. This is in keeping with the Club’s policy that Under 17 cricket is the bridge to senior cricket. Consequently there may be more flexibility and mobility in team structures.

ECC Junior Team Selection Policy

The attached policy document covers Edinburgh Cricket Club policy on how players are placed into teams at the beginning of each season. The document also covers the club’s policy toward players playing up from their age group/level.

ECC Junior Inclusion Policy

The club has a strong inclusion and equality policy in its junior division. The club wishes to see all players given equal opportunity to participate with both bat and ball. The attached policy outlines this commitment.
