Welcome to Edinburgh Cricket Club.

Our home and training base is the WT Peterson (Brunswick Street) Oval located within the beautiful Edinburgh Gardens precinct.  Situated on famous Brunswick Street, the ground is an icon in Victorian sporting history.  With its heritage grandstand to the north and city skyline to the south, Edinburgh has one of the most picturesque and historic grounds in Melbourne to play and enjoy cricket.

It was the home of Neil Harvey one of Australia's cricketing heroes who was a member of Don Bradman's Invincibles.  Neil Harvey was a gifted left-hand batsman and magnificent fielder who served Victoria, New South Wales and Australia during a brilliant first-class career that spanned 16-years between 1947 and 1963.

The Fitzroy Football Club also called Brunswick Street Oval home from its foundation in 1883 till 1966 with the playing surface graced by legends such as Haydn Bunton and Kevin Murray.

Edinburgh is a diverse club with a strong commitment to fostering community spirit and providing cricket opportunities for the residents of Fitzroy and surrounds of all ages and ability.  We pride ourselves on developing cricketers from under 12 development squads to senior cricket for both men and women.

COMMUNITY

Edinburgh Cricket Club is a diverse grass roots community based club and we pride ourselves on being actively involved within the local community.  Our founding mandate was simply 'Help get the kids off the streets' and keeping with this spirit we continue to build and develop relationships with other community groups and sporting clubs, for the betterment of the community as a whole.

Edinburgh Cricket Club provides an opportunity for adults and younger people of the community to participate in sport and to work towards a shared purpose.  We also provide a supportive social network to enhance interconnection within the community and the development of younger people by recognising their value and supporting and encouraging their contributions and efforts in everyday life.
